Pollution Control Association of the Philippines Inc. Region 4A (PCAPI Calabarzon) is now an organizational member of International Society of Sustainability Professionals (ISSP) effective August 12, 2018 until August 12, 2019.

ISSP is the world’s leading professional association of sustainability practitioners and a member-driven organization that moves sustainability profession forward by empowering each other and defining professional excellence. As the premier professional association for members of the sustainability field, ISSP basically helps professionals around the globe in the field of sustainability in the implementation of the United Nations’s (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to make sustainability progress.

PCAPI Calabarzon’s application for ISSP Organizational Membership was inspired by the initiative of its president, Ms. Rasmiah Malixi, who is also a member of ISSP since 2013. In her letter of invitation for PCAPI Calabarzon’s ISSP membership application, she stated, “I have been a member of ISSP in 2013, and since then ISSP continues to provide me insights of the current topics and issues relevant in SD and environmental management. We hope to boost our network with alike organizations and enrich international connection and be able to cascade the benefits (online resources) exclusive to our members.”

Affirming this statement, PCAPI Calabarzon has indeed benefited greatly from the ISSP membership. Some of these are: (1) Membership Connection which helped the organization widen its network to other ISSP members inside and outside the country; (2) Access to newsletters, webinars, and emails related to sustainability which helps the organization in the updating and upgrading of their training materials; (3) fast and easy access to ISSP website, including having the organization’s logo in it and having the right to put the ISSP logo in their website; and many more.

PCAPI Calabarzon intends to maintain its membership in the years to come and will make sure to extend the benefits to the PCO community.
