Q. HOW DO I PREPARE MY SPACE FOR ONLINE LEARNING?

4 tips on how to make your at-home or at-work training space conducive to learning:

Setting up a conducive work space

1. Pick a quiet space to conduct the training sessions. Make sure that it will be free from distractions. Whether you will have the training at the comfort of your home or in your workplace, it’s best to inform your family, loved ones, and/or colleagues that you are conferencing to eliminate noise and interruptions. We also suggest that you turn off cell phones, TVs, and other unnecessary gadgets. Before entering the online training, exit other applications on your computer.

2. It is your responsibility to secure a stable internet connection. If you are with your family, you can try to properly schedule with them so you eliminate any connection struggles.

3. Video Quality – Make sure your camera is steady and properly focused. Setting your computer or phone set on a flat and stable surface would help prevent unnecessary movements and maintain the correct focus. The ideal area of focus would be from your head down to your bust or to your waist. Anything closer or farther than that is deemed inappropriate.

4. Avoid background noises by putting your microphone on mute during sessions. You may turn it back on during discussions or whenever you need to raise a question.
