The Department of Environment and Natural Resources Environmental Management Bureau Regional Office IV – A (DENR-EMB 4A) recognized Pollution Control Association of the Philippines Inc. Region 4A (PCAPI Calabarzon) for its exemplary performance in supporting EMB for imparting wisdom and learnings to individuals, group of individuals, and industries through its Pollution Control Officers, during the 2019 Environmental Summit themed “Beat Air Pollution: Managing Solid Waste towards a Pollution-Free Environment”, on July 30, 2019 at Taal Vista Hotel, Tagaytay City.
Established in 1997, PCAPI CALABARZON has long been living up to its vision of being the leading association of PCOs and environmental practitioners and of being an internationally-recognized training institution, empowering its stakeholders in the protection of the environment, while working hand-in-hand with DENR-EMB R4. Over the years, PCAPI CALABARZON partnered with thousands of PCOs, business establishments, and other institutions by conducting trainings, seminars, conventions, and other environmental activities. The Association also prides itself with a wide array of outstanding training speakers and environmental mentors from different business sectors.
PCAPI CALABARZON President, Ms. Miah Malixi and 2nd Vice President, Mr. Camilo Tolentino, received the Plaque of Recognition from SWM & LGUs Concerns Usec. Benny Antiporda, EMB 4A Regional Director Naomi Paranada and former DENR Usec. Rolando L. Metin during the summit.
The 4th Annual Environmental Summit also showcased Best Environmental Technologies (BET) as well as Best Available Practices (BAP) highlighting solid waste management practices implemented by different industries, Local Government Units (LGUs) and other partner agencies within the Region. It also featured photo and other display exhibits and presentation of practices and technologies both of government and private sectors. It also awarded LGUs and companies with best practices and technology. Likewise, training institutions that relentlessly provide knowledge and information and share best practices in terms of technologies and experiences were recognized during the summit.
